Call Me MISTER Replication Conference
Innovations in Recruitment, Training and Retention of African-American Male Teachers
In March, 2005, Call Me MISTER hosted a replication conference to enlist the support and enthusiasm of expanding the Call Me MISTER program nationwide. Featured speakers included Jawanza Kunjufu, Ph.D., founder and publisher of African American Images and author of more than 20 books; Richard Riley, former U.S. Secretary of Education and former South Carolina governor; and Crystal Kuykendall, Ph.D, educator, lawyer, and author of several books, including From Rage to Hope: Reclaiming Black and Hispanic Students.
